triton high vel 9 mm ammo?
whats the general concensus on this ammo?i am looking at the 125gr +p hollow point,1250 fps.cdnn has it on sale for 3.99 box of 20 rds.thanks don

I've shot Triton's 100 gr. frangible and their 115 gr. 9mm +P with both their regular HP and "tri-shot" bullet that's supposed to break into three piece in soft targets. It all shot fine. I liked the frangible copper round enough that I bought a case of it; I haven't seen the frangible advertised for sale anyplace recently, maybe they stopped making it?
I still prefer Cor-Bon for most any gun I keep ready for defense (their newest DPX copper bullet was awesome when I tried it the other week in the Ruger P-94). I just cannot find any ammo that can beat Cor-Bon's in the muzzle-flash category -- I've tested Cor-Bon in complete darkness against other ammunition; their powder blend is fantastic in its control of muzzle flash.

I shot a couple boxes in my XD-40, 135 gr. I don't know what the specs are on it but it felt like the most powerful ammo I ever put through it. More than Corbon, Golden Saber, Hydrashok... Lots of flash and bang. 0
