Need information on a Stevens 311
I got this one over the weekend. It is a 16 guage Model 311-A with 28 inch barrels. The wood is walnut without any checkering. On the bottom of the action in an oval is IIG. Can you tell me what year it was made, and what chokes do you think the barrels have? Thanks!

Most 311's were choked full and modified. Can't help you with the year of manufacture.
Whoever said the pen is mightier than the sword obviously never encountered automatic weapons.
