Need some 44mag rifle load data, please.

I won a Henry Big Boy last week at the Friends of the NRA dinner and am trying to put together some loads. Here is the help I need.

I will be using VV N110 or N350 with a Laser-Cast 230 gr bullet. I would like to keep the velocities around 1200-1400 fps. I will not be hunting with this rifle, so I only need to develop accurate plinking loads.

Any suggestions or successful load info would be helpful.

  Don't know how much data you will find for a 230 grain 44 Magnum bullet, but here are a number of loads with VV powder and a variety of other bullet weights.

  I guess I was typing too fast. I meant 240gr. Thanks for the data.
  
  I also sent an email to Oregon Trail for their load data. I don't know why I waited this long to switch to hard cast bullets. The cost savings is greater than I expected.

  Just a note here on those velocities with lead..........You may be pushing your luck unless you want a load of leading problems. I know with the pistol you can push a jacketed 240 gr bullet to around 1400fps but the same weight lead is kept under 1000fps. I believe this is because you'll end up with a barrel full of lead at higher velocities. Maybe someone else could confirm this here for us.

  Laser Cast bullets from Oregon Trail are guaranteed not to lead a barrel. They have tin, zinc, silver, etc added to them. I push a 300gr 45-70 @ 1800fps without any problems. I believe they say there should be no problems as long as you keep velocities under 2000fps on loads.

  I use 9.0 gr Unique with a 240 gr lead bullet as a light .44 mag load. It works well in my handguns and should work well in Henry.
