How to check out serial numbers

Is there a web sight that we can use to run a serial number check to see if a firearm has been stolen, Been used in a crime, ect ?

Good question. I'm not sure about a website, but depending on which state you live in, you should be able to call the state police and have the number ran. Here in Virginia, we have "project exile" where if you are caught with a stolen gun, you automatically go to prison for 5 years. I think other states have similar legislation.

No. You can have the local cop shop run it for you, but if it is stolen, you may lose it.
