S&W 629... 4" or 5"

Looking to buy a S&W 629 stainless as a backup gun for hunting in the Pacific Northwest. Any ideas which barrel would be best?

  I bought the 5" Classic and then got a local gunsmith to trick out the trigger and port the last bit of the barrel. This helps alot with follow up shots, especially if shooting double action.

  My M29 is a 6" and I would have it no shorter- so between 4" or 5", I would go with 5"

  Backup for what? I usually carry my 3" 629 for ease of carry and quick access and drawing. Any thing longer I've personally found to be too cumbersome. If you need anything bigger, you still have your hunting firearm.
