If you inhereted one or something of the sort what would you have to do to make it legal, if the barrel was under 16 in?

They are a fun gun--bring lots of people to your position when you are at the range. It's heavy, tho, and with the 50-rd drum, REALLY heavy. Every collector needs one. [:D]

I have fired one. Accurate at ranges under 50 yards. Very heavy. Lots of fun to shoot[:D]

One of the coolest designs ever. That being said they are EXTREMELY heavy esp the deluxe version (17lbs) and because of this have almost no recoil.
I sold mine a month after I bought it because it was like shooting a .22, no recoil, no fun, not very accurate (lousy sights), but who knows, you might love yours!

Sold mine last year to someone who wanted it worse than I did. It filled 26 pages of replies and comments on another forum dedicated to machineguns and came to be known as ODDBALL 27A1. There was a long-running argument over whether it was stainless or just a standard one with the bluing removed. The drum was a 39-rd version. It sure caused a stir when I slung it over my shoulder and walked into a gun show.

Well I like mine. I dont have "L" drum yet but I do have over a dozen 30 rd stick mags. It is fun to shoot, no recoil, and reasonably accurate. It is kinda spendy since .45 acp isnt cheep and it is heavy even empty.
