Best way to reblue at home

I want to reblue a barrel on a remington 7400 at home what is the best way to go.

  Try the Blue Wonder bluing. It is the only home system that I have found that really works.

  Cheap easy way, is Cold blueing.
  or the Expensive way is to buy a blueing system. Great way to make some cash on the side providing that service to gun shops.

  I like Blue Wonder also.

  CORREN, if you have fewer than my ten thumbs and can change a light bulb, then take a serious look at Blue Wonder. I had *never* before done *anything* to a firearm other than change grips perhaps five times. I acquired an "orange" M1911A1 and after following the directions provided with the BW *exactly,* it now has a deep, lustrous blue finish. There are a couple of small spots where I screwed up (ten thumb syndrome), but if I can have such results, a person with normal mechanical aptitude can look like a pro.

  Brownel's OxyBlue paste and Blue Wonder are the greatest for quick touch up or a complete reblue if you follow the directions. Only other process I use at the shop is the ole fashioned "rust b;ue" process..but that is labor intensive and time consuming...but yields a nice rich deep black/blue.

  Oxpho-Blue will work just fine if you follow the instructions to a T....
  About the best besides hot bluing, or slow rust bluing....
  
  Gun control is hitting what your aiming at.
