To Sigma or not to Sigma

How good are the S&W sigmas when compared to other polymer glock type guns?

    The are reliable, but probably the only auto pistol with a trigger that is worse than a Ruger, Glock, or High point.

    Not!!!! I had one for awhile, and it was the most inaccurate pistol I have ever seen. I tried different ammo, and even handloads. I was lucky to keep everything in a 18 inch circle at ten yards. The trigger has a lot to do with it, but not everything. Most everything else at ten yards I can shoot a one hole group. The Sigma is very easy to strip down for cleaning, but that is the best I can say about it.

    I gave my wife a sigma 380 an it will never miss a lick. I know you are talking about the larger version, but I have put every know ammo that I have and it will eat them all. imo.. nambu

    My friend had a Sigma .45. It was the worst firearm he has owned. Nothing but problems, and no accuracy. I sold him a HK USP in .45. Now he is a happy camper.

    I know why it was bad,it's because S&W never made a .45 Sigma. [:(]

    I did see a 357 Sigma up for auction on GB. I have never seen one of those before.

    You must be thinking of the sw99 dolfan, they do make that in a .45 #120206

    It is basically the same crap on a walther made frame just redesigned, I myself would not own one if it where a gift, and it is not that the gun is inaccurate, it is that horrendous trigger pull, not even a world class shooter could shoot the damn thing with any accuracy

    No one is out to get Smith & Wesson here. The sigma series just isn't good compared to everything else on the market. I don't think you will hear anyone say anything bad about the rest of their autos, or the revolvers.

    i agree, I am a big fan of Smith and Wesson, I own several, I just can point out a mistake when I see it, and in my eyes they dropped the ball on trying to compete with the polymer world, at least with the sigma
