Which 9mm would you buy?

I own an assortment of semi-auto handguns and am currently looking for another 9mm. I own a Belgian Browning Hi-Power that has had some custom work and I would like to keep the rounds through it to a minimum. However I enjoy shooting 9mm, hence the reason for another. I've looked at Sig 226, Beretta, CZ 75, H&K USP, Springfield's XD, and Sig Pro. I have resently looked at Walther P-1 for about $250. The other guns that I mentioned are more combat handguns which I already own a couple of in other calibers. The P-1 would be more nostalgic, cheaper and possibly more fun to shoot. Decent accuracy is all I need. What would you guy's buy out of this bunch? Thanks in advance for opinions.

    All mentioned are good to exccelent quality. My personal choice would be either the H&K or Sig. However if you were thinking about the Beretta you might be able to save some $$$ and get a Taurus, You will hear bad things about them but mine has over 5,000 rnds through it with no problems. I would still take the HK or Sig first.

    The P1 that I had was ok, but not any sort of a target pistol. It had military type sights that seemed to be designed for center of mass and barrel climb type shooting. It had many really neat features and I would still recomend it. But don't expect to be plugging bullseyes at the range without having to learn to compensate for the sights, assuming that they are similar to mine. If I want to shoot target I usually take my model 59 S&W 9mm. These used to be real popular with PDs and can still be found in good used shape.

    I don't see it on the list... If you want accuracy by a Kimber 9mm Target. It will outshoot all of the ones you have now.

    I would pick the 226 SIG out of whats on your list. My personal best buy is a 99 Taurus.

    From your list I would also choose the Sig. If you like the Hi Power soo much but do not want to shoot the one you have, why not a Hi Power you dont mind shooting? My 2 cents [8D]

    From the previous replies you can see that their are lots of choices. However if you want to stay near the $250 price the field narrows. The Styer M-9 looks strange but feels good. Also check out the Star Firestar or an Astra. Accuracy will not be as good as some but may suit you. They will cost less.

    HK USP would be my first choice, followed by a Glock 19.

    Another option to consider is the 59 or 69 series of S&W. There are a ton of Police trade-ins out there at a really reasonable price.

    S&W 39 is in that price range also.

    Ruger P89, P93, P94 or P95. All are fine 9mm pistols and you get your moneys worth.

    You should add the Beretta Elite II to that list. It's in the price range and is a hell of a gun. Not to be confused with the regular Beretta 92, this seems to be a much nicer pistol. I have been very impressed with my .40.

    Here's a little different twist.

    How's about a CZ52(7.62x25)and get a conversion 9mm bbl.

    That way,you really have two guns in one.[^]
