How rare is this item? There are only Four (4) numbers in the serial number.

They were made in the years prior to W W II. My 2 ?, is that it would have to be in factory original, excellent condition ( not drilled for scope, refinished etc) also have the original Lyman receiver sights. To have any substantial value to a collector.

Well it has a new stainless steel scope on it, so guess that settles that.
