22-250 varmit considerations

I am interested in a rifle that a local shop has for sale. He has a Howa 24"bull barrel w/thumbhole laminated grey stock. It also has a Bushnell "elite 4200" 8-32 x 40mm scope mounted on Leoupold bases and rings. This rifle has had less than 25 rounds thru it while sighting in. It has also had some trigger work done by a reputable gunsmith in the area. He has it priced at $750.00, is this firearm of reasonable quality for that price or are there some considerations I should make before purchasing it?

I stopped again today to check out the rifle. In addition it has also been glass bedded and a bipod attached to the threaded hole on the stock
it is i 100% condition

    That would be a pretty good price. I've heard they are very accurate.

    The wholesale price on the rifle alone is $570 with shipping...add on the scope and custom trigger work...you've got a pretty good deal. If I had the cash and were in your shoes, I'd buy it.

    The scope alone is at least $400 so that would make the rifle about $350 which isn't bad if you can live with that kind of stock.

    To an extent the value of anything is "subjective", but check eveything out thoroughly and if all is well, yes, $750 is a "fair" price. Not a bargain basement price, but not too bad, sepecially if you like the set-up, which is fairly. My $.02

    why chase the game when the bullet can get em from here?....
