Winchester 1892 rear and front iron sights
I have recently acquired an original Winchester 1892 with a tang peep sight. The rear sight was removed and has a blank in it and the front sight is a replacement. Does anyone have the iron sights for sale that are not reproductions? Thanks in advance for your input.

Sonny-I'm assuming you have a rifle and not a carbine; the standard original sights for the '92 rifle were the no. 22 Winchester Sporting Rear Sight and the no. 21 front sight with the locking screw(not always present) and the nickel-silver insert. The best place to find these is probably ebay. There are other sources also(you can Google up Winchester sights)but I semi-collect Win. sights and have found ebay the best and easiest. That being said, there were dozens of factory optional front and rear sights for the '92. Are you sure your front is a replacement? If the rear tang is correct for the era, I'd certainly leave it on. The single best source of information for which sights were correct and offered on the Model 1892 is Nick Stroebel's book on Antique gunsights.
In addition to finding original sights listed on ebay, you might try contacting Gary Fellers, Nick Stroebel, Art Pirkle, or Albert Buckinham... all of those fellows deal in original Winchester sights. I personally can almost always find what I am looking for at the bigger gunshows (Reno, Las Vegas, Denver, etc.).
