interchangeability mags.
Got this on another web site. Does it sound proper??? "MP 38 and MP 40 magazines would fit and work in a British STEN and vice versa. Also the British BESA [used mostly as a tank coaxial MG] fired 8mm Mauser ammunition." Never having tried to put a MP 38 or MP 40 mag in a sten
gun it just dont sound right. Same as the British using 8 mm when most of their weapons were for the .303. But maybe I am wrong. Need backup.

I personal don't believe for a moment that STEN and MP 38/40 mags are interchangeable.
The BESA was indeed made in 8mm. I once purchased a belt of British made BESA 8mm that included ball, AP, tracer, and incendiary rounds. All with British headstamps.
