Winchester M-70 All-terain

I've been looking for a "Winchester Model 70 Classic Featerweight All-terain" for a long time now. Am I looking for a ghost? They were made in 1996,97,and98. they are stainless steel with a black synthetic stock that has a somewhat soft feel. I have a "Stainless fwt" but the stock is very hard and noisey in the woods. At first glance the two appear to be the same gun, but one is soft and the other is hard plastic. Both have the classic schnable forend. Was there a problem with this gun? I find that hard to beleive as I have six other M-70s, so if there is a problem it must be with the stock. I understand that McMillan Bros. may have made the stocks for Winchester. I'm tryin to contact them now. I'd be happy to hear from anyone who has info that will help me learn more about this gun.

    UPDATE: I just got off the phone with McMillan and they assured me thatthey did not make a stock that has a soft feel for Winchester or anyone else. Here is another question: I have another fwt that is SS with the hard black fiberglass stock with the schnable for end that was made in 1994 but it is stamped on the barrel "Classic Stainless". I didn't think the Classic Stainless was a fwt. Is "All-Terrain" stamped on it's barrel? Maybe I have an All-Terrain and I just don't know it. Someone out there has an All-Terrain and I'd like to hear from them.

    Interesting dilemma you have and I have not an answer for you. I have a Win M70 in 375 H&H that is stainless with a black synthetic stock and stamped on its barrel is "Classic Stainless".
    Just so ya know.

    although I am not a winchester expert (just built my first rifle on a win70 action) I would doubt that "all-terrain" is stamped on the barrel. Classic has a bit more to do with the action, and thus the barrel is marked to avoid mistakes when removed[?][?] But just like the rem700 varmint rifles,..all they said on them was rem700. I could be wrong,..it wouldn't be the first time.

    why chase the game when the bullet can get em from here?....
