Which way to move site?
I purchased a turkey gun in late winter and now that the snow is gone here in NY . I am going to try to sight it in. I know that it shoots low and to the right @ 20 yards. Which direction do you move the rear sight, and which way do you move the windage? Do you move the sight forward so the pattern will be higher or do you move it back? And what diection for the windage? This may seem like a dumb question but I don't know the answer. I forgot to mention that I put on a williams firesight "slugger".

If you need to adjust the windage to the left, move the rear sight left. To change elevation, a sight is either moved "up" or "down" versus "forward" or "back". To raise the impact point, raise the rear sight.

When moving the "rear" sight, always move it in the direction you want the bullet to move.
If you want to bullet to move to the left, move the rear sight to the left. If you want to raise the point of impact then raise the rear sight.

Move your rear sight in the direction that you want the group to move. If you are shooting low and to the right, you need to raise and move to the left. If you need to move the front sight, do the opposite. 0 -

Use "FORS", Front/Opposite, Rear/Same. If you can remember that you never get mixed up again. It works for me!
