Remington 700 in 257 roberts???

I have a remington 700 in 257 roberts that has a matt finish , iron sights, synthetic stock serial # E6750xxx. I cant find out any info on when it was made or anything about it. am greatfull for any help.

If you can't run with the BIG DOGS stay on the porch!!

  A Remington Dist had these made on a special order of 500 guns about 3 years ago. I sold several. Great guns

  You mean Remington made these again? ..after the classic of '81? That is great to know but they probably screwed it up again, They no doubt used a short action. I once saw a Rem. 30S for sale here on GB that went for over $1000. That was the only .257 Roberts Remington ever built right.

  ...go to the remington web site and customer service will give you mfr date with total s/n. Probably late issue with the las t few years. Great round

  Duckhunter is correct. I think the distributer was Davidson's. I bought one when it was offered but mine has a walnut stock. Shortly after that they offered a stainless version but I don't remember a synthetic stock. Madman has the best suggestion.

  Yep, I saw one on here a while back, perhaps a year or so...and I was gonna buy it, but it sold for a premium.[V]
