Hunting Blind?

Hi, I'm looking into buying my son a portable hunting blind in the near future & would like to know if anyone has any experience with the Ameristep DogHouse blind? If so what do you think of it? Any other brands i should consider? Thanks...Hunter

  I have apop-up model for waterfowl and turkey that I love
  but for deer I would spend the money on a nicer
  blind look at cabelas or sportsmansguide

  We've been using "Lucky's Tent Co." tents for years. They are probably on the net. Located in Ulby, Mi. Great for turkey, which I'll be using on Mon. and we also use them for deer. Two guys can fit rather confortably in plastic type yard chairs inside. Whatever you end up with bring wire and a few stakes out in the field with you. When it's windy it really helps in steadying the tent. Good luck and stay safe..........................................

  Heard plenty of good things about the doghouse blinds from ameristep, I'm sure it would make you happy. Since they range about $200 though, and are slightly more bulky than other models, I would go with one of ameristeps lower dollar and smaller size models, like the outhouse. Unless of course, you plan on being in the blind also, then the larger model would be your choice for sure.

  I have both the doghouse and the outhouse by ameristep , if you plan on being inside with your son the outhouse is the better way to go , it is a little shorter, ie. you can't stand completly upright in it but it has more room side to side than the outhouse , well worth the money ,

  Have 2 ,shoot deer from them every year ,good room even for us bigger fellers![^]
