Henry Youth 22 Quality

I'm thinking of picking up one of these for my 12 yr old to play with at our farm in two weeks. How good or bad is the quality, the rifle sure is low cost. Will it last a few years? Thank you, as always, experts.

  i disagree with the previous statement. the marlin 22's and 22 mags are cheap and they are good shooting guns that will last a lifetime. my first gun was a 22 chipmunk and they were cheap and it shoots well and i still have it. go with a marlin auto, you can probably find one on GB for under $100 in real good shape.

  Good gun Henry that is . Highly recommended although it is a little short and your 12 year old may grown out of it in a hurry.
