Harrington Richardson

Is Harrington Richardson still in business. I have a pat. dtd Feb. 1900 410-44cal that needs a breakopen lever screw. Gun has sentimental value and the rest is 90%. Can anyone give me a clue. Thanks

    I am looking for info from the experts I have recently aquired a JC Higgins model 365, 22 cal. it also says "REG'LAR" it has a Lyman 55-h peep sight any info would be greatly appreciated

    No, they are gone. H&R 1871 has no relationship to them or their guns or parts.

    Try e-gunparts.com or other small parts dealers.

    does your shotgun use the lever that you slide
    left or right to break open the barrel?

    Yes I think it slides to the left only but may be both ways. The screw is what retains the lever and is countersunk in the upper end of the lever to function as a pivot for the lever.

    Is the model of the 410-44cal I have 1871. Numrich says they need a model number and there is nothing on the gun other than the bore size and Patent date.

    if your shotgun has a removable hinge pin it is a model 1905, if it breaks apart like a modern shotgun it is a model 1915. i am 99% sure it is a model 1915 because the 410-44 marking was only used between 1916 and 1921. the model 1905 and 1915 were small frame single barrel shotguns.

    Thanks for the info Bill. I will look at it tonight as I can't answer which hinge it has. I just spoke to the gunsmith that ok'd it for use and he hasnt been able to locate a new lever screw either. The screw has a large, straight blade driver head, compared to the size of the thread under the head. Probably why the head has half of it missing. Anyway, still in need of the screw.
