Value of?
I bought a Remington 25 Pump today in 25-20 and between the 2 different gun value books i am getting a $300 to $500 diference in value. Any one have an idea as to value of a Remingtom 25 25-20 in GOOD condition. No woood cracks or deep scratches, only general handling marks. How are they as o shooting? I will have to wait till Monday to get ammo to shoot it but any opinions on it and/or the caliber.

These are sweet little rifles to shoot and 25/20 is a fun cartridge.I will let CaptKirk give you a price when he has more info from you . This gun is not legal to us in most cowboy matches. 0 -
On the bottom front of the receivr is:
AA
77xx
so I am guessing it is an A model and the seriel number 77xx. Other than that the only marking are:
Remington
Model 25
25-20 on side of the barrel.
The Remington company address
"penderson's pattent January 5, 1909 July 5, 1910 and others pending"
on top of the barrel.
On the ejection side is an oval with RER or REB (hard to make out) in it, as well as an upside down M.
Behind the trigger gaurd is the Remington UMC in a circle with trademark around the outside of the circle.
In short due to the AA I am guessing it is an A model, am I correct?
What is the value for a Model 25 A in 25-20 in good condition?
