Winchester 1873 model .22 caliber short

Can anyone tell me give me an idea of what to ask for this rifle at auction? It's in very good condition. Has no missing parts.

    James H. Cohen & Sons, Inc. in New Orleans has one manufactured in 1886, rated as 'average condition' for $2,750.00. They also have a .38-40 made in 1887 with some traces of origional finish for $2,950.00. They also list an 1866 Winchester Musket in .44 rimfire made in 1870. has a brass butt plate and includes a bayonet for $9,500.00. Anyone interested?

    Hello Ira...

    Does it have that standard 24-inch octagon barrel, or does it have a round barrel? I can give you a fairly close value estimate if you post some pictures of it (or send them to me at Win1885@msn.com). The sertial number really is not important for a .22 caliber Model 1873 (unless you would like to know when it was manufactured).
