help with who made this 22 w/ bull barrel

just picked up a Ranger 22 long rifle,,I know sears sold them,,but who made it for sears,,my crossover doesnt list it,,,has 25" bull barrel,,,detachable mag,,,with micrometer rear sight,,globe type front sight,,and a savage 4x scope,,,any help is appreciated,,,,,,,,,JIM

    Seeing it has a Savage scope and they haven't made them in years ,I'd guess Savage. [^] [:)]

    ,,ATF,,thats what i thought,,but it isnt marked savage,,,all it is marked is " RANGER 22 LONG RIFLE ",,,Looks alot like a rem 513 or win 75,,

    I don't think you'll find any of the Sears guns marked with the actual manufacturer.[:)]

    As the others have said, a picture would help, also any other numbers, such as 101.xxx? or similiar. It could be Stevens, Savage, Mossberg, Marlin, High Standard,??? It sounds somewhat like a Mossberg 144. Should be a couple here on GB maybe. Had one with peep, heavy barrel, globe front. Just a guess on my part. I think Savage and maybe Stevens also made a similiar rifle.
