Upgrades for a Winchester 69A
I got a Winchester 69a that is an awesome shooter and all original except scope , was considering looking into some upgrades . Anyone done anything to a 69A before ? Trigger etc, I was gonna hang this one on the wall but havent found anything I like so I'm gonna keep on shooting it.Your input is appreciated.

Trigger is a little stiff , was considering buying a Ruger 22 . If I'm gonna spend the $$ on a newer gun I thought I might see what could be done to this oldie. Mainly just wanting to see what anyone else has done if they have. [:)] 0 -

My 1st .22 was a model 69A i wouldn't bother trying to up grade . Its a great little 22 as is.You cant make a model 52 out of it 0 -
If the trigger is "stiff", just keep shooting it; chances are it will lighten and smooth out with use. A good smith could probably adjust it for you but as someone already said, you can't make a model 52 out of a 69a. Would you really be happy hanging up a classic for a 10-22? -Asa 0 -
I would not mesh with it. You will decrease any value of the gun by drilling holes for a scope and you can't really change those triggers. I have a model 68, and it is a wonderful shooter, but I would not mess with it at all. 0 -
It's got a grooved reciever, another reason I considered hanging it up . Some say there arent many left?? 0 -
