.17HMR Question.
I am aware that if you have a .22lr and a .22 magnum you can not interchange the two cause even the bullet is the same size the .22 magnum case is slightly bigger. My question is that I have a new ruger s-six in .17HMR and now there is a new round come out which is the .17M2(mach 2); can I use .17M2 in my single six?

hello the 22 long riflre and the 22 mag had both a differend diameter case but also different diameter bullet. The 2 17 cal. cartridges have the same diameter bullet but the cases are both different length and different in diameter If you has a cyl in 17m2 made it would work . but I don't think you can get a blank cyl. from ruger 0 -
no you can't use the 2 rounds in the same cylinder but Ruger is making their new single six hunter with both cylinders , so you should be able to send your single six back to Ruger and have a cylinder fitted for it , or you coudl just buy the single six hunter and sell yours 0 -

The .17m2 is a necked down .22Lr case i belive. And as they have said no you cant use both.
