FN five-seven for Mateba
I'm considering trading my Mateba auto-revolver(I've got 2) for an FN five-seven. Does this seem a "fair" swap? Or would you predict the "unique-ness" of the five-seven wearing off and more of a supply... hence a lower price. Not to mention, the premium price of the ammo coming down as supply increases. Give me some feed back.

I don't know about "unique-ness". Designed as a military arm/round.
I was shown some reports put out by Federal agencies about the extreme danger of the 5.7 penetrating kevlar with trauma plate.0 -
Do you actually have someone who is interested lined up? If so, you are lucky, & shouldn't let worry about future values affect your decision.
Otherwise, trading is hardly worth considering. Finding someone who has what you want, & wants what you have, is highly unlikely. Today, with the Internet, it's so much easier to just sell what you don't want, & buy what you do.

OK, I've just gotta ask. What's a Mateba ? What is one worth ?
Has the five-seven been accepted as a military weapon by any country ? If it has, it will become common, like the Beretta, 1911, Glock, etc. If loosing the collectability is no problem to you, then do it. Or mebby it's your heart's desire, so do the trade reguardless.0 -

I wouldn't trade my five seven for anything. If you don't have some one lined up your best bet would be to sell one to buy the other. You won't be sorry though. 0
