6.5 remington mag rim size?

Could someone tell me what the rim size on a 6.5 remington mag. Am looking at putting togather a decent long rang rifle but dont want something common and still want my g/f to be able to shoot it. Right now it is between the 6.5 and the 240 wby mag. thanks for any help for all of my reloading equipment is at my dads and dont have any of my books.

  My Speer Manual #13 says 0.531 inches for the 6.5 Remington Magnum.

  There are standard dimensions that are accepted industrywide for rim sizes. These can and will vary ever so slightly depending on manufacturing.
  
  221/222/223 = 0.378"
  
  22PPC/6PPC = 0.445"
  
  243/260/308/'06 cases = 0.473"
  
  6.5RM/350RM/300WM/300H&H/belted standard magnums = 0.532"
  
  378/416/460 Weatherby = 0.582"
