    5 is right, or 4 in the box magazine and one in the chamber.

    I believe you can do 5 in the box and by holding down on the top round when manipulating the bolt get a 6th inserted in the chamber.

    Kydster I tried that on mine, it might work, but the bolt was grinding too much on the brass, so I let it be.

    Good point Bill...I should have mentioned that some mag depths are shallower than others. Seems to work fine on my M-48, but that doesn't mean it will on everyone's!
