Ruger 77-22

I just bought a used ruger model 77-22 in 22 hornet and can't get the bolt out so I can clean it. I know this must be a simple thing, but just not sure on this one.

  Bolt holder on the rear left of the reciever.
  
  I WOULD RATHER BE DUCK HUNTING.

  When you have the bolt out by pushing on the bolt release, go one step further and take the bolt apart and shim the bolt where it goes together in two pieces .
  They have so much slop in between the two pieces that it is hardly ever accurate. Shim it just enough so it will still move but not by much.
  Shoot it now and then again after you do that or get that done, and you will be suprised at the difference in accuracy. If you load for it use small pistol primers instead of small rifle primers....
