    Appears to be original.....The Webley-Fosbury shown is all original from what I can see of it...The Marks, Letters, and Stamps are clear and Sharp with No Rounded edges The Tracks and are all Sharp and No Rounded Edges.....Nice Gun...Always enjoyed mine....used to actully take it out and blast a can or two with it........Best.....

    I agree with the good Capt. The stamped markings are much too clear and sharp for it to be anything other than original finish.

    Thaks guys, I have been looking for one of these for seven years. I came to the same conclusion as you, but I definately do not know my webley finishes, and I didn't know if the hammer and trigger were supposed to be blued. When I came across this one and I had to buy it regardless. The ammo is on its way, I am going to shoot it. If anyone wants to see videos of the shooting, I'll post a link here when I do it. Thanks again,

    Ya mean the Miles Archer (Jerome Cowan)was shot with one of those? I thought I knew all the trivia about the Maltese Falcon, but didn't know that...........thanks

    Unless that is one of the best restorations I have ever seen...I say it's original! It is VERY difficult to fake a barrel that good. I've seen any number of beautifully restored weapons over the years that were claimed to be original and only the %80 condition of the barrel indicated otherwise. There are some pretty unscrupulous people in the world and that sort of thing is tried routinely. For the kind of money you'll be paying for that Webley...I would want affidavits!
