Winchester 75 fitted bolt?

Hello, the Winchester 75 (22LR) that I am looking to buy comes in very good condition, but I have realized the bottom part of the bolt has been filed/ polished in a way that seems to be fitted by hand. Over it surface is the serial number that matches with the receiver number. Does it comes with this side filed/ fitted directly from the factory? Any reply will be very appreciated. Thank you.

  Hello breechman,
  
  Yes. The bolt on my Model 75 Target is exactly like yours. The serial number is not stamped, but is hand etched on the upper flat part of the bolt.

  Hello Bert, I will get the rifle. What I was worried about is the bolt hand finished by filing at the area facing the magazine lips, does yours looks like?
  Ah!...it doesn't have the muzzle crowned or recessed. Weird for a gun of this level, my Marlin 25N doest it. Thank you.

  Winchester never crowned the barrels on any of their older rifles. The did crown the barrels on their Carbines and Muskets though.
