I AM DRIVING MY OLD NEIGHBORS U-HAUL MOVING TRUCK DOWN TO FT.LAUDERDALE FLA. IN 2 WEEKS. I AM FLYING BACK ON WED. VIA S.W.
I WANT TO KNOW WHAT DO I DO WITH MY LEGAL HANDGUNS THAT I WILL TAKE WITH ME AND ANYTHING I FIND IN A GUN AND OR PAWN SHOP DOWN THERE.
I AM A NRA PISTOL INSTRUCTOR AND A FLA. CCW PERMIT HOLDER. I WANT TO BE LEGAL BUT I DON'T WANT THEM STOLEN EITHER. WHAT DO I DO?

  I think you are going to have to look into getting some very good airline approved cases for your pieces.
  Pelican, SKB, etc. These should have a pressure release valve and be made of either impact resistant plastic or aluminum. These pieces must then be declared to the airline (and I think in turn FAA and TSA) sent as checked luggage. There will ussually be a pick-up desk instead of getting them on the carrousel. I would call SW and check their individual rules regarding transport at any rate.

  When you walk into the terminal in FL, despite your CCW, be sure the guns are unloaded and in the shipping case with no ammo.
