Colt Magnum Carry
saw a Colt magnum carry at the gun show, price was $375 like new in the box was talking with the owner and I said this is like the second one I ever saw for sale...he said Colt only made a small amount and they become collectable....???????? think so

I watched a Colt Magnum Carry revolver in a local shop for several weeks with an asking price of $495. I waited for a lower price. It never happened and it sold. Well, today I saw another one in a different store,condition about 98%, looks almost new, priced at $475. I was able to get it for $395. These must be hard to come by judging by the price and the fact that these are the only 2 I have ever seen. Do any of you own one and how do you like it? Are you shooting yours or saving it as a collectible. What's the going price for one? Thanks for any comments or information.

If I am not mistaken this is a .357 version of the Det Special. They didn't make many. It will appreciate, but you have to decide between making it a safe queen or use. Frankly, I would shoot it.

They were made in 1999 only. Last of the good Colt Revolvers.
If you shoot it and take good care of it, you'll always have a good revolver that will hold its value.

Found one in a shop about 3 weeks ago in 98% condition, no box. Price on it was $450. I jumped on it without haggling. I've seen one or two on the auction boards going for $600-$700. This one will be shot.[8D]

I'm sure I'll shoot and carry mine as well. It really makes no sense to have something nice and not enjoy it. Great picture of your revolver. Also, thanks to others who posted for their information. 0
