Colt 1908 380 feed problem

I just got the colt today and tried firing. It was supposed to have been checked by a gunsmith and worked great. I tried Winchester 95 grn. full metal jacket. After shooting it was very accurate but it wouldn`t feed the next shell in.I could cylcle it and sometimes it would load the next shell sometimes it took two or three tries. Any suggestions beside a smith. Would another brand cart. work better. It never did pick up the next cart after first shop.

  Try and find an original magazine for your gun. It should be marked on the bottom, Cal 380 Colt.
