Need help pricing a pistol
My dad has a pistol he is going to be selling. The problem is we don't know what it is worth. We can't find it in the Blue Book and I thought one of you pros might be able to help me. [;)]
It seems to be some sort of a target pistol. It has adjustable target sights. The barrel is octagon and about 4". The grip is plastic has a thumb rest. On the thumb rest side it says Winfield on the grips. On the reciever, on the same side, ("Le Chasseur" Made by "MAB" in France for "WAC" .22LR) On the ejector side of the pistol, right under the ejection port, is the number "1054" and has an R on the grips on that side of the pistol.
Any help would be great!

Your Dad's pistol dates to the 1950's. It was made in France by a company named "Manufacture D'Armes De Bayonne" = MAB.
Winfield Arms is the name of the American Company which imported and sold this pistol.
Both Winfield and MAB have been out of business for years.
To the best of my knowledge there's little collector interest in MAB Pistols. Because of this, depending on condition, my 2 cents is your Dad's pistol would be in the $150 - $250 range.0 -
