Yet another High Standard question. Value?

I never thought I would see something like this here in MA. . .but I did!

Supermatic Citation 107, Hamden, Military, 7-1/4 inch fluted barrel, original *LEFT-HANDED* grips, original extra mag (in mag box), 100% (ie appears unfired), brand new in original box with original papers.

Anyone want to guesstimate a value for this?

I think that was my first post ever to this board. . .now I'm accumulating High Standards like they are going out of style!

    Hello Glad that you joined Bobski & myself who love these old pistols and many others that have rediscovered the Great old High Standards. I don't know if Your state has this pistol on the approved list or not . That would effect the price.The left hand grips IMHO would not help or hurt the price as you can pick up both fairly easy. but to find one as NIB with in the box new Magazine I would say $900.00 PLUS for the package if you can't inport them into your state. Email me if you are still looking for some fairly rare older models. I like for my extras to find a good home with someone that is not just tring to make a BUCK. "PRAISE THE HARDBALL GUN"

    most ive seen nib command high prices, but remember, that model gun has the 'cut my finger' and the 'my gold is flaking off the trigger!' gray cloud hanging over it. i would say 775.00 max. the big seller is the fluted bbl....until you try shooting it. man that bbl is heavy and makes you shake![:p] i use a fluted bbl for met silo shooting where i can can use 2 hands to hold it! otherwise, you should get a bi-pod for it! so, now that you have it...you gonna ruin it and shoot it? you really shouldnt shoot guns like that. they were meant to collect and make money. shooting one is like opening a pre 68 uncirculated mint 50 cent silver coin from its plastic wrapper and using it to buy a coke.[;)] the minute you touch it, its 50 cents. pull the trigger on that gun and its worth 550.00 like everyone elses. be a wise grasshopper.
    perry....being that he's from mass...he cant import hi standards. hes only allowed to buy ones already in the state. what a freaky state. trust me, he'd own my collection by now if he could![8D]

    Yeah, Bobski, you got it (except for the gold part. . .no gold on this Supermatic).

    So this is a MASS-compliant new-in-the-box lefty fluted barrel 107, etc. I'm figuring there can't be a lot of these floating around.

    The thing of it is this. . .this one could be sold OUT-of-state, and since it was legally registered in MA before '98, it could even come back later (so long as someone else realized this). But you can't bring in any other ones from out of state into the state. (And good thing for me you can't, otherwise I'd have 20 high standards by now!). But fortunately I can bring in all the PARTS I want. Just not frames.

    I've held this thing (not shot it), and I don't think the 7-1/4" fluted barrel is really any heavier than my 5.5 inch bull barrel with compensator and extra weight attached. But the longer sight radius does add to the apparent "wobble".

    My problem is that because I know what this thing is, I find it hard to say "no", even though I know I shouldn't be shooting it! I don't really want a "Shelf gun", but how can you pass something like this up?

    its easy, walk away; or, buy it and forget it for 10 years and make a 200% profit. guns in nib shape are used like money. they are bartered back and forth amongst collectors. buy it and use it to get something else you need in trade.
    i see now...i was tired. look at the time of my last post. citations dont have gold. duh... i hold to 775.00.
    that 7 1/4 wiggles bean. the length makes it wobble because its so far out there. remember, that bbl was designed to give a longer sight radius for outdoor shooting. it has no extra accuracy. some like em, i dont really prefer it.

    Pardon me, hijacking this thread, but I asked for dom & value
    last week on a Supermatic 101.
    Nobobdy ever replied with any dollar value since you were
    all working so hard to figure out what it actually was,
    and by then the topic was locked.
    If y'all wouldn't mind too much, could you estimate a value?

    orca. there are a few on auction now. getting top dollar with aftermarket grips is gonna be hard but 2 bbls will help. i venture to say around 500.00 max.
