Where do I look?
I am looking to build a 6.8 SPC rifle. The problem is I'm not sure where to find the best parts. I found a Barrett complete upper, but it cost $1600! I was hoping to come in lower than that. Where would I find good quality stuff? I'v tried searching around but there is an abundance of AR type manufacturers and its hard to tell which ones are reliable. Thanks in advance.

I highly recommend that you contact model 1 sales at www.model1sales.com . I have personally visited the site and all I have to say is wow!!! You can practilly chose what model you want (all semi auto of course) and if you would like something different like a2 or a3 model you can specify on the website; however if you are really big on competition or would like a highly specialized upper/rifle I suggest actually calling them up and giving word for word detail of what you like. Granted you will sepnd some money and I do not know personally how much all the "options" will add up to but they are very fair on prices.
As for ammo I recommed you calling jerry's sports center for your needs. They are the only company I have seen so far that has the remmingiton 6.8spc ammo.0 -
Another great source is Fulton Armory www.fulton-armory.com/ they do a lot of match and specialty work on several different platforms. Good Luck.

Thanks guys. I don't know why, but I am very interested in this round. Maybe because its bigger than the 5.56. As we all know, sometimes bigger is better. 0
