    Real simple, it is probably illegal. I dont know where you live but unless you live in a state that allows Full auto, and you own or plan on buying a pre 86' transferable machinegun (this case a Cetme), it is illegal. If it is the case that you own or are buying a legal pre 86' transferable machinegun (agian a Cetme) your class 3 dealer can help you out. Oh yeah you can call (202) 927-8810, and they will be more then happy to help.

    I had a hard enough time just trying to get my semi-auto Cetme to cycle correctly. Got rid of it and bought a FAL. Not a good idea to mention putting together an illegal class III weapon on this site ( "big brother" might be monitering it).

    NO....Since May 1986 makes it illegal for us to own or mfg.
    Other mods required, all of which are illegal for us.

    What your seeing are spare parts kits only, for those that were registered & built into transferable machine guns prior to May 86.

    But you can buy a one registered transferable in full auto for about $7,000 + $200 tax stamp.
    Then that would be legal, depending if they are allowed in your state & you can pass the backgroundcheck, get a sherriff to sign off, then YES you can have one.

    They also sell 105mm howtizers too! but they are on the expensive side to use for plinking.

    Kindred did not commit a crime. It is a crime to assembly a fully automatic rifle without the proper licenses under law. He merely asked a question which is not illegal or a crime. God help us all if it becomes a crime to ask a question.

    Also it is not illegal or a crime to own a fully automatic anything if qualified by law and the proper paperwork is completed. Oh yes, and paying for the Class III device.

    Aside from the legal question, the technical answer is probably no. it would require machining and more unavailable parts.

    It takes more parts than the trigger group to make the commonly available semi-auto Cetme full auto. The reason the full auto trigger groups are available is because these parts alone will not convert the semi auto to full auto.

    The usually available semi auto Cetme is also "doctored" in several respects to prevent conversion to full auto such as the bolt carrier, hammer pawl, reciever, interupter latch, safety sear, and hammer retainer to mention a few. The fire control box is also altered on semi auto Cetmes to prevent conversion to full auto.

    The semi auto Cetme is highly modified to prevent conversion to auto as to make this conversion impractical. To do so would require a good machinist and the proper parts. In which case, almost any semi auto might be converted to full auto.
