Are you a member of High Standard Collector's Association? I've been thinking of joining,what can you tell me about them? What kind of info can I find in the member's only part of the website?

    I have been a member for a couple of years now. They are a good bunch of guys (and girls). We have an annual meeting at the Loiusville fall gun show. You get a newsletter every 3 months or so which contains articles about Hi-Standards, there are also for-sale adds in the news letter. Some of the members will only sell their guns to other members. Last year a guy had a bunch of prototypes for sale at $22000 each. A little out of my budget. I would recommend joining.

    the assoc allows you inside connections to the cream of the crop of everything including: paper promo, rare guns, advertising and actual people that worked in the factories. if you like big bucks guns and history, its good. i prefer rubbing elbows with the shooters and the masses, educationing the uneducated in the field of hi stds. i like owners learning about what they have. rather than a collector reminding me what he has. sitting around with the true scholars and collectors is like talking to the mirror![:D] no offense intended. i just like finding lost sheep.[;)] i do this all for free, right here on GB![:D]

    Thanks for the info. I like the "big bucks guns" but I can't afford them. To me the 700-900 dollar Citations and the like are big bucks guns! Think I'll just stick to asking you[;)].

    BTW,I haven't been able to find a target style sight to fit that HD-Military without altering it,do you know where I can find an original? The only place I've found that lists them is Numrich,but they are out of stock(they are always OOS on anything I'm looking for.[:(]) You don't have on laying around you want to get rid of do you?

    nope. already looked.
    time for you to sell it and get a hi std with adj sights! see how it happens? the time and effort to upgrade a lesser gun makes it easier just to sell it and get an upgrade. afterall, why ruin a 100% original gun? welcome to HI STD PYS 101. [:D]
