Lone Star No. 2
I'm going to list some items for sale on Gunbroker.
One item is a suicide special type revolver marked, "Lone Star No. 2" on the barrel, serial #1011 on the butt and no other markings. It has a 6 shot cylinder and appears to be .32 rimfire. It does function and lock up well, but the nickel plating is maybe 30%. It does have a rather neat leather pocket type holster that would go with it.
Question; I'm sure it qualifies as C&R, but would it qualify as antique? If it does not qualify as antique, would shipping charges and F.F.L. transfer fees be more than the gun is worth to most potential bidders?

From the looks of it I would say you are well on your way to answering your own question. I don't have the books with me today, but I would be willing to take a flyer and say that this little rimfire pistol is short on value. I would also assume that even though it is a rimfire, it is likely NOT pre 1898, so therefore not an antique. Costs involved with shipping and FFL transfers would make this a less than rewarding experience. I would check the C&R list to even make sure that it's a C&R gun, because if it is not listed there or declared an exception, you're kinda' SOL. Having said that...people will surprise you at times with what they are willing to pay, so just watch your reserves and see what happens!

It does not have to be on the list to be C & R, it just has to be 50 years old.
