Which breed of dog do you guys recommend for cold weather hunting of various game birds, and do you recommend puppy or adult?

  I've heard that Chessies are more tollerant of cold weather than other retrievers. Perhaps you could find more info at a Chesapeake Bay Retrievers club.

  minature daschounds. i play with them in the house cause i don't go out in cold weather. [:D]
