9x18 markov, and 9x17/ 380 auto

i have a polish P-64 and it shoots 9x18, can i shoot 380 auto ammo out of this pistol that is 9x17. If I do will the cause build up and then when i switch to 9x18, will it have a hard time chambering completly?

  While it's possible to fire 380 ammo from a pistol chambered for the Makarov cartridge. It's not a prudent thing to do. The chamber dimensions of the Makarov are substantially larger. This causes the 380 brass to swell and deform when fired. In the worse case scenario the cartridge could fail causing molten brass particles and hot gas out the ejection port. This causes what is known as "Pizza Face" among IPSIC shooters.
