Ruger 10/22 Scope needs

I have a stainless Ruger 10/22 with synthetic stock I woiuld like to scope the rifle for some summer fun with the small furry animals lurking about can anyone recommend a good quality scope that doesnt rival the price of the gun itself

    I put an air rifle scope on one that was real good and fairly inexpensive Bushnell Sportsman 3-9X40 AO target turrets $55.00

    Sounds like a good start I'll be by the local gun shop this weekend I'll check to see if they have one or do you know if maybe wally world or the big K carry those ?

    they probably don't check out gb for it I haven't had any repeatability problems with it. so it has done real well for me

    I have a few 10/22's and have put Simmons 4 powers on two of them and a Tasco 4 power on the other, I didn't buy bottom of the barrel kind of mid range for those brands and I've been real pleased with all. Very accurate never changes point of impact. I like the Tasco a little better than the Simmons. I spent $40, plus or minus on each of them.[;)]

    Spend a few extra bucks and buy the 4x12 AO Banner series bout $80-$90. You won't be sorry!

    I have always used the 4 power Bushnell Banner rimfire scopes on mine. I have 5 of these on various 22 rifles.

    Thanks everyone for the help, I know 22's are plentiful and taste even more so but its good to se the same name brands popping up gives me a good idea of whats working for others. The only scoped weapon I have is an old savage 30-30 and the scope was on it so I truely have no idea
