1903 Turk question, who made em?

Hey I've recently read in a couple of publications that the intermediate length, 1903 Turkish rifles were made at the Mauserwerke in Germany. But, these were only an aside and not in a very comprehensive artical. So my question is what can you tell me about the 1903, intermediate length action, Turkish 8mmMauser's manufacture? This is the one with the unusually high stripper clip guide. The several that I've seen and owned have the Turkish crest on the top of the front ring, but nothing on the side saying where it was made. The 1938 issue Turks all say that they were made in Turkey.

  According to the Mauser Book, they were made by Mauser in Oberndorf.
