Shotgun gauge
I have a lot of shotgun barrels on hand. What I don't have is a clear idea what gauge each barrel is in most cases. I am looking for a fairly expensive gauge tool for mostly 20 gauge, 12 gauge so I can quit guessing. Saw a nice one but was over $100 and my budget.
Can anyone give me some help either by a quick way to determine barrel gauge or where I can get a reasonably priced gauge. This probably belongs in the WTB section but figured some smart guys here can better help me out. Thanks in advance.

I have an old muzzleloader with an inside diameter of approximately .935 inches. Does anyone know what gauge this would be? 0 -
The 6 gauge is .919, so you are a little bigger than a 6 gauge. 0 -
Thanks Allen. I used a cheapo plastic dial caliper, so I may be a little off. I will borrow a friends metal digital caliper this weekend and check it out for sure.
I don't ever plan to shoot the gun (its over 150 years old), but I was wondering what size powder charge one might use with a 6 gauge percussion gun. Anyone know?0
