C & R shipping and authentication
Not being a C&R or FFL holder can I ship to a C&R holder? Also, how can you verify the authenticity of a C&R license?
And finally, is there a place on the internet that I can find a list of C&R eligible guns?

Yes providing there are not state or local laws preventing the buyer from receiving it.
G&R eligible are any thing over 50 years old. (1898 and later are Antique no C&R or FFL required)
There is a list of C&R's less than 50 years old on the BATF website

You are not required to validate a C&R. However, you must ship only to the address shown on the license.
You can find a list of all C&R firearms on the ATF website.
Some states do not permit C&R holders to receive certain firearms. You are required by Federal law to know the law in the city/county/state of the recipient & comply with it. You must look it up in State Laws and Published Ordinances - Firearms (ATF P5300.5), also on the website.

The website list is of guns that are in addition to the standard 50 year old guns. A gun that is 50+ years old qualifies weather or not it is on the list. Some of the guns on the list are of fairly recent manufacture.

Generally, that is correct; the C&R list is not intended to be inclusive.
However, not all guns on the list, or > 50 years old, are necessarily C&R. For example, a C&R military firearm must be in its "original issue" configuration. So, a military barreled action, or a sporterized military gun, or a military gun whose caliber has been changed, is not a C&R, even if it is > 50 years old.
