Colt .36 cal

I have a Colt .36cal and the numbers on it are ...1905 by the trigger..7965 on the bottom of grip and underside of the barrel... 965 on the cylinder.. pat is July 25, 1871 and July 2, 1872.. A Name on the bottom of the grip is F G. Blake..There is a lot of engraving on the cylinder also.. It is in pretty good shape for its age and was wondering what it might be worth..

  "Pretty good shape" is not definitive enough. But, if the cylinder engraving can still be read, it should be worth at least $1,000. You need to post photos.

  The patent dates on your revolver identify it as being a "Conversion" from Percussion Ignition to Cartridge Revolver.
  
  This was done by Colt in the 1870's for both Commerical & Military revolvers. They were essntially utilizing all the Percussion parts they had in stock, which were at that time obsolete, to make viable handguns.
  
  There are many different variations of these "Conversions". Your best bet would be to get hold of "Flayderman's Guide to Antique American Firearms". He has pictures of the various Conversions and there values.
