Cartridge comparison chart?

Anyone know of a good online diagram or picture that shows the major handgun cartridges from smallest to largest?

I guess a rifle one also?

Its hard to explain things sometimes without a picture and I couldn't find one....[:)]

  I don't know whats on line, but in general the comparison that you are trying to understand is what is generally called a reloading manual. There are no hard cold constants, only variables. Remington 44mag vs Winchester vs Hornady are all different with what powders and bullets are loaded. It an exponential jungle of apples and oranges of different levels. It is bad enough trying to compare 44mags of different makes, now try comparing 44mag vs 40S&W vs 9mm with all the issues of powder bullet and primer. I currently own like 8 full on reloading manuals and am looking to get the newer version of several.

  OK let me fix this before it gets too far - I have 3 reloading manuals, but was just wondering if anyone came across a BASIC chart that had pictures in a line of the major revolver cartridges (.22 - .500), major auto cartridges (9mm - .50), major rifle cartidges (.22 - whatever) to show someone the BASIC differences between? I know Ive seen something like this but cant find anything...

  dano, I have never run across a chart that shows a line-up like you are suggesting. It would make a neat little reference. I wish you luck and if you manage to find one let us all know -- I suspect there are others that would be interested.
