Reloading

I just started reloading last night. I bought the lee anniversary kit and the problem i have is when i seat the round i seat it in too far. i dont know when to stop applying pressure to the lever. Can anyone help me out. BTW i'm reloading 45 acp

    I have never reloaded, but am interested in doing so. I was given a RCBS Green Machine that has .357 dies in it. I have read a little about this machine and am confused. Is this machine set for only that caliber and can't be changed. If so is it worth anything if I sell it to get other reloader?

    It may leave a occasional hole in the pattern (makes a good excuse anyway[8D]), but it won't hurt anything.

    Some guys like a mag full of lead, I still prefer one round to the head.

    I did that one time with some I think it was #4 and #71/2. It actualy did a really good job staying together. Mix up a little bit, load it and see how it works for you. FYI there is a reloading forum, but it is still hideing out as the Paintball froum on this site.

    Tom........... The previous posts are right. It will not hurt anything and may actually help. What you basically end up with is a duplex load. Remington loads shotgun ammo with what they call a duplex load which is basically 2 shot sizes in one shell.

    A couple months ago I bought 50 pounds of reclaimed shot from a trap and skeet range. They do not separate it by size so I got a mix of sizes from 6 to about 9.

    I loaded it into once fired AA hulls to about 1150fps on my Dillon 900, and the stuff shoots just fine. I use it for competition, hunting birds and skeet shooting.

    I use to load 12 gauge with a mixture of 7 /12, 8 and 9 shot to use on doves. While they did not hurt anything I can't honestly say they were that much of an improvement either. They killed doves just fine but not any better than the 8's that I normally used. I finally come to the conclusion that they just were not worth the extra effort it took to load them and have not loaded any since they middle 80's.
