colt model 22
Does anyone know if the woodsman/huntsman magazines are interchangeable with the colt 22 model mags? Thanks, Mark
PS. I'd like to get about 10 or 15 of the colt 22 mags if anyone knows a source.

I have a huntsman it was my dad's.the clip was missing so i took it to gun show and tried clips for sale the one i got said it fit woodsman/huntsman seems to work ok but is not blued to match gun.tks.hedge 0 -
If your talking about that stainless one they made in the 90's? It has a button mag release. Doesn't appear that it would work with MOST? of the earlier Colt .22's as most had the mag release lever on the butt.

I tried a stainless magazine in a Third Series Match Target. It fits and functions fine. But the old MT magazine won't work in the new Colt 22.
The new stainless magazines have a stamped indent that holds the magazine in place against the mag release.
I suspect the magazines for pistols with the triggerguard-positioned mag release are made the same, like the earlier Woodsman, but I don't have one.
But the Third Series pistols don't have this indent since the mag release is on the bottom of the frame. So they won't stay in the Colt 22.
Hope this makes sense. Anyone who understands probably understands! Sounds like Yogi Berra!0
