Pistol Recomendations
I am a classic guns buff with my share of classis Berettas, Walthers, and Mausers but I am in the market for a newer design and have come up with a short list of used and new guns that appear to have traits I am looking for. can someone tell me how good these are.
S&W Sigma
CZ 100
CZ 40
Vektor SP 1....But I dont know who distributes them
Steyr M9

If I'm not mistaken, Vektor no longer sells guns in the U.S., so finding a SP-1 might be a little difficult.
The CZ 40 is a fine gun. I have a CZ 40P and it is a beauty! Solid, dependable, and accurate. The accessory rail gives it that added flexibilty in case you have an extra laser or tac light hanging around.
The Steyr M9 is also a good gun. Its sights take a little getting used to, but once you do it's pretty instinctive and target acquisition you'll find is a little faster than conventional sights.

Not on your list, but I just got a Bulgy Makarov and am well please with it's simple design and ease of teardown, plus it performs very well at the range, even at 25 yards. 0 -
If you are looking at the CZ look also at the EAA Witness Line. My 2 cents [8D]
